What does an MCC coach say to acknowledge their client?
May 27, 2024The word acknowledge doesn’t roll off my lips. In coaching it often feels like cliché or formula. I was recently asked how does an MCC (Master Certified Coach) acknowledge their client's contribution and progress without using the word acknowledge. Well, here’s my best shot:
- "I want to acknowledge the dedication and effort you've put into our sessions. Your commitment to growth is truly inspiring."
- "Your dedication and progress are truly remarkable. I'm impressed by the strides you're making."
- "I want to take a moment to highlight the incredible progress you've made. Your commitment to your growth is evident and inspiring."
- "I want to shine a light on the significant steps you've taken forward. Your determination and focus are truly paying off."
Here are some alternatives you might find helpful:
- Celebrate: Celebrate the milestones and achievements reached by the client.
- Applaud: Applaud the client's efforts and growth throughout the coaching journey.
- Validate: Validate the client's progress and the steps they've taken towards their goals.
- Honor: Honor the client's commitment and dedication to their personal development.
- Recognize: Recognize the client's perseverance and resilience in facing challenges.
- Commend: Commend the client for their courage and openness in exploring new possibilities.
- Champion: Champion the client's achievements and breakthroughs in their journey.
- Highlight: Highlight the client's strengths and progress made during coaching sessions.
- Embrace: Embrace the client's growth and evolution as they move closer to their desired outcomes.
- Acknowledge: Okay, I know you said not to use this word, but sometimes it's hard to find a perfect synonym!
